Robert Pattinson has reportedly quashed rumours surrounding his sexuality.

The Twilight star told The Sunday Times that he is "straight" and found filming male-on-male sex scenes for Little Ashes "strange".

Pattinson was speaking after he sparked speculation that he might be gay by stating that he was "allergic to vagina".

The actor went on to say that he finds filming all love scenes awkward and was extremely uncomfortable on the Remember Me set with co-star Emilie de Ravin. "I'm always the one who's the most uncomfortable," he said, adding that he has "a lot of respect" for those who work in the porn industry.

Pattinson plays a troubled twentysomething who is helped through a family tragedy by Ravin in the weighty Allen Coulter helmed drama, which is released on April 2.
