JLS have said that they were "humbled" after visiting children with cancer at a specialist hospital in London.

The boyband spoke to patients at the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at London's University College Hospital ahead of their concert in support of the charity at the Royal Albert Hall on March 28, The Sun reports.

Singer Oritsé Williams said: "We saw some brave, incredible children who all shared the same positive, courageous spirit. It really made us appreciate life so much.

"We are so happy to be supporting them by performing at the Teenage Cancer Trust show. We were humbled and are going to help to make a difference."

One 19-year-old patient Gurpreet Bhanya said: "Meeting JLS was awesome. We spoke about my studies and my treatment. They were really lovely and caring."

Another, Billy Gilbody, 14, added: "They spent a lot of time talking to me and were really interested in what I had to say. They really cheered me up."

A carer quipped: "There was a real buzz when JLS came in - I think some of the nurses were more excited than the kids!"
