Puck arrested in hospital room

Police have arrested David Rainey in his hospital room, according to E Online.

The former MTV reality star known as 'Puck' was involved in a car accident last Friday. The incident, which left him and his 8-year-old son Bogart injured, was suspected to have been alcohol-related.

"There's evidence that alcohol was involved," Officer Brian Pennings of the California Highway Patrol confirmed. "He's been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. He'll be facing charges of DUI, child endangerment and driving without a license. Due to his medical condition he remains in the hospital."

The Real World: San Francisco star needed surgery on his neck and throat and was reportedly unable to speak. Rainey's son was released from the hospital with only minor injuries.

Authorities claimed that police will continue to investigate the accident and will eventually submit the case to the district attorney.
