Ex: 'Jesse James is a chronic cheater'

The ex-wife of Jesse James has branded him a "chronic cheater".

Janine Lindemulder, who split from James after one year of marriage in 2003, said that she wasn't surprised to hear rumours that he had cheated on his current wife Sandra Bullock.

"He's a chronic cheater," the New York Daily News quotes Lindemulder as saying. "I feel sorry for Sandra because she was so in love with Jesse that she was blind and gullible.

"[Sandra] once said, 'I finally have a man who has my back.' And all I could think was, 'No. You have this man who does it behind your back.'

"I remember at one point, about six months after he started dating Sandra, when he asked me to come by the shop. I told him, 'No way.' Later, he texted me, 'Thank God you didn't come by, because we would have been bad.'"

Lindemulder also claimed that James told her that he had made a "huge mistake" shortly after he married Bullock.
