Bridge 'claims Terry paid off Perroncel'

Wayne Bridge has reportedly suggested that his child support payments to ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel should be lowered due to money she allegedly received from John Terry.

According to The Sun, Perroncel will claim that Bridge offered her £3,000 a month to help bring up their 3-year-old son Jaydon.

Other sources suggest that he has in fact offered her a luxury home and £10,000 per month, with Perroncel wanting an exclusive London property and twice that sum. The former couple will meet today behind closed doors at the Family Division of the Royal Courts of Justice.

Bridge is believed to have suggested that an alleged £800,000 paid to Perroncel from reported ex-lover Terry should be taken into account when ruling on maintenance.

A source close to the Manchester City footballer said: "Wayne cannot stand this woman. He felt hurt and betrayed by her but now he's angry and is determined not to be taken to the cleaners.

"He loves his son and wants to be part of his life. But wants nothing to do with her - she's a parasite."

However, a friend of Perroncel said: "Vanessa is not daunted by the prospect of facing Wayne in court. She will walk into court with her head held high and fight for a fair settlement.

"Wayne might not care about their son - he scarcely ever calls him - but Vanessa does and will tell the court how mean he has been. She won't pull any punches."

Regarding the suggestion that Perroncel had been paid by Terry not to sell her story of their affair, her spokesman Max Clifford said: "Those claims were 100% false."
