Kylie Minogue takes a pay cut

Kylie Minogue took a £620,000 pay-cut last year, according to a report in The Mirror today.

The singer, who is currently on a sell-out world tour, paid herself £380,000, which is down from £1 million in 2003.

Darenote Limited, Kylie's company, earned £816,197 in total, in the 12 months to March 2004. This is an 89% fall from the previous year, because Kylie decided to take a break from work.

Before taking the break, Kylie explained, "I enjoy hard work but if I had another two years like the previous two I might start not to like it so much."
