Kate Winslet "fine" following Mendes split

Kate Winslet's sister has insisted that the actress is "bearing up" after her split from husband Sam Mendes.

The Academy Award-winning actress, who recently announced her separation from the director, revealed that she ended her seven-year marriage earlier this year.

Anna Winslet told The Mirror: "She's bearing up. She's fine. She rings us up. We're a close family. We are trying to have a get-together for Easter."

Mendes has denied ever engaging in an extramarital affair with Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress Rebecca Hall.
