Employees of Michael Jackson have testified in the star's defence.

The court heard that they had never seen any evidence of inappropriate behaviour by Jackson towards children on his Neverland ranch, and that the family who claimed to have been kept their against their will showed no desire to leave.

Former maid Francin Contreras testified that she had never heard fellow maid Adrian McManus speak of Jackson negatively, though McManus previously told the prosecution that she witnessed the star grope Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin. Contreras went further to discredit her former colleague by calling her a liar and a thief.

Also providing testimony was Gayle Goforth, a former housekeeper at the ranch, who said that Gavin Arviso's mother, Janet, had once asked for a job at the property. She explained: "I told her that the rents were very expensive in the area. But she said: 'I'll come and I'll sleep in the car if I need to."'

Former security chief at Neverland, Violet Silva, said that she had never seen Jackson act inappropriately towards children, but rather stated that Gavin and his brother Star behaved in a destructive manner when they were at the ranch.
