The former Oasis frontman revealed that the micro-blogging service means that he no longer has to wait until an interview to air his opinions on those who have recently irritated him.
"I only use my Twitter as a weapon or to say thanks to people or if people are gettin' a bit fresh if you know what I mean," he said. "Instead of waiting six months to do an interview to put them in to place do it on Twitter."
Last month, Gallagher used his account to hit out at Peter Kay, branding the comedian a "fat f**k" after their spat at the Brit Awards ceremony.
However, the singer went on to say that he refuses to use Twitter to go into the more mundane events in his personal life.
He added to live4ever.uk.com: "All that - I went for a poo the other day or I just had a beer or I'm scratching my ass watching Neighbours or... this is ridiculous. Who wants to know all the ins and outs of everything?"
