Michael Jackson passed away last June after a cardiac arrest brought on by lethal levels of the painkiller propofol.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Janet Jackson explained that her family had urged Michael to go to rehab.
"We tried it several times and he was very much in denial," she said.
Janet Jackson also revealed that she had always feared that her brother would die, explaining: "I felt that day could possibly come. I think everyone thinks that who has a family member or a friend [in trouble]."
Michael Jackson's father recently filed a lawsuit against his son's doctor Conrad Murray citing him for murder.
