The veteran TV star died late yesterday due to complications with pneumonia brought on by a long battle against cancer.
Locklear, who appeared on Dynasty with Forsythe, remembered him as a "gentleman".
"He was a gifted actor who knew the true meaning of being gracious and kind. He will be missed," she said in a statement.
Speaking to People, Forsythe's Charlie's Angels co-star Jackson praised his grace and charm.
"He had a grace about him that was incredibly awesome," Jackson said.
She added: "John had a great sense of humour, and he was wonderful."
