Jo was married to the Rolling Stone rocker for 23 years but separated in 2008 after he ran off to Ireland with cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, who was 18 at the time.
The former model, 54, met Wicks at a cocktail party in London two years ago and the couple have become close in recent months, reports the Daily Mail.
The designer, who is known as a 'flamboyant Hollywood figure', is married but is undergoing a legal separation from his wife of 33 years, Pamela.
Wood, who will visit Wicks in the US next month, confirmed: "I've got a boyfriend who lives in Los Angeles. He's called Christopher. He's a lovely guy. He makes men's clothing."
