Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer, her tour company confirmed overnight.
The Frontier Touring Company said that Kylie's upcoming tour of Australia has been cancelled because the star is commencing treatment immediately.
"I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences," said Kylie in a statement early today. "I am sorry to have disappointed my fans. Nevertheless, hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon."
Her tour company indicated that the cancer was in the "early" stages, and noted that Kylie was staying with family in Melbourne at the time of receiving the diagnosis.
