Hannah Waterman: "I got too skinny"

Hannah Waterman has revealed that she is trying to put weight back on in a bid to look healthier.

In an interview with Closer magazine, the former EastEnders actress admitted that she became "too skinny" after her marriage to Ricky Groves broke down at the beginning of the year.

Reflecting on the split, Waterman explained: "Reading the papers at that time and being followed by the paparazzi wasn't easy. I wasn't left alone and it kind of started there. When I'm down or worried, I forget to eat. I'm not a comfort eater!

"I got too skinny. After Christmas my weight plummeted to 7st 5lb and I looked too thin - I was all ribs and bones and my face looked like a bag of spanners."

The star added that she is now keen to reach a more suitable size after turning down offers from surgeons who wanted to give her a facelift.

She commented: "Losing the weight took its toll on my face, but I'd rather put on a few pounds than have surgery."

Waterman recently released a fitness DVD after announcing that she had dropped five dress sizes.
