On Monday, a Los Angeles judged ruled that the actor must pay his wife Victoria $12,000 (£7,875) a month in spousal and child support, according to People.
Hopper, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year, is seeking a divorce from his wife of 14 years.
The judge also ruled that Victoria and the couple's 7-year-old daughter will be allowed to reside on Hopper's property in Venice, California, until the divorce is finalised.
The actor's three adult children, who Victoria has allegedly blamed for her divorce from Hopper, were in court with their father.
The Easy Rider and Blue Velvet actor recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
