The Juno screenwriter confirmed reports of her pregnancy on Twitter.
The Oscar winner wrote: "Thanks for the congrats on my fetus. No secrets here; just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed."
Cody has yet to name the baby's father.
The 31-year-old created Showtime's United States of Tara and is writing a film adaptation of the Sweet Valley High teen novel series.
