A representative for the couple has confirmed to People that Patton gave birth to son Julian Fuego in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
"Mother, father and son are all doing well," they said.
According to Access Hollywood, the birth was first announced by Thicke's tour partner Alicia Keys at her Los Angeles show last night.
A source reportedly added that Thicke had pulled out of his supporting slot at the Staples Centre concert after learning that Patton had gone into labour.
A spokesperson for the star had earlier told the Los Angeles Times that he would not be appearing for "personal reasons".
Thicke and Patton revealed that they were expecting a child last year, and that they had tentatively selected the name Julian if it was a boy.
