US District Judge Patricia Seitz has scheduled the trial to begin on December 6, BBC News reports.
Former Death Row Records boss Knight is seeking in excess of $1 million (£660,000) after being shot in the leg at a party hosted by rapper West. No arrests were made following the incident.
Knight claims that the Shore Club and West did not provide sufficient security for the party, a claim the club owners and West have denied.
Knight's lawyer Marc Brumer said of his client: "He's an icon in the music industry. He walks in a room and he lights it up.
"He had an expectation of security there. How someone came with a gun into a very VIP party, that just doesn't meet the smell test in life."
Brumer added that Knight's right femur was shattered, requiring medical treatment costing $200,000, while he also lost a 15-carat diamond earring worth $135,000 during the altercation.
