Haim's mother cancels public memorial

Haim's friend and former co-star Corey Feldman announced the news on his official blog.
"Her reasoning for this is that she is in tremendous grief and feels that to create an event celebrating Corey's life would be too much for her to bear at this time," Feldman posted.
He revealed that a few close friends and family members of Haim will instead meet for a private dinner in Los Angeles.
Feldman was apparently planning the public memorial.
"Although I am very sad I am not able to plan the memorial I had envisioned, which would have given both his friends and fans an opportunity to grieve together as one, I must respect the wishes of his mother, and help her in any way I can through this difficult time," he added.
Haim passed away on March 10, aged 38.
The actor allegedly purchased 550 pills in the weeks before his death, including Vicodin, and Vallium, according to recent reports.
