Jeff Beck 'insures fingers for £7m'

Jeff Beck has reportedly insured his fingers for £7m.

The guitarist made the decision after chopping the tip off one of his digits while slicing carrots, The Mirror claims.

Surgeons were able to sew the end of his left ring finger back on, but Beck has apparently now chosen to insure each digit for £700,000.

"Jeff was making a stew when he cut his finger clean off," a source said. "Thankfully surgeons were able to patch it up. But now he's taking no chances and has upped his insurance to $1m per finger."

Beck is due to release his latest album Emotion And Commotion on April 12.
