Tweed friends 'worried about Chanelle'

Friends of Jack Tweed have reportedly expressed concern about his new relationship with Big Brother 8 star Chanelle Hayes.

The couple were first spotted on a date earlier this month and the News of the World claims that they spent a night together this weekend.

However, friends have allegedly said that Tweed should be focusing on his upcoming trial for an alleged rape.

"It's worrying," a source said. "Chanelle is the last sort of girl he should be getting involved with just before standing trial for rape. But he won't be told. Spending nights out with glamour girls doesn't make Jack look good."

Meanwhile, another friend claimed that Tweed's late wife Jade Goody had disliked Hayes.

"Jade never liked Chanelle," the source revealed. "She thought she had been trying to get close to Jack. She was always very suspicious he might be cheating and at one point even confronted him with a list of girls she was convinced he'd slept with. Chanelle was on that list. She understood Jack would have to move on, but to do it with her Big Brother rival is a step too far."

An insider reportedly close to Hayes described the relationship as the "romance from hell" and added: "Chanelle is saying she'll stay with Jack no matter what happens in the rape trial. There's very little chance that this will turn out to be a happy ending for either of them."

Tweed's trial is scheduled to begin tomorrow.
