Jessica Simpson 'laughs off hair interest'

Jessica Simpson has laughed off the recent attention she received after tweeting photographs of herself wearing a short wig.

The former Newlyweds star, who is known for her long, blonde hair, recently posted images of herself on an airplane sporting a very different look, sparking speculation that she had chopped off her locks.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, she said: "It's so funny to me, everybody thought that I actually cut my hair.

"If they actually read the words with the tweets, [then they would know] I didn't. It was a hair 'do piece that Ken [Paves] and I are working on."

Simpson, who said that she tried on the wigs because she was "bored" on the flight, added: "The fact that if I cut my hair it would be news is kind of nuts to me. I think that it should be about what a woman is doing in her life."
