Kylie has low-key birthday celebration

Kylie Minogue has spent her 37th birthday with family and friends in her home town of Melbourne, her management company has revealed.

The Australian singer, who is recovering after surgery to remove a cancerous lump from her breast, enjoyed a low-key celebration, a spokeswoman explained.

One well-wisher apparently erected a banner at the entrance to Kylie's parents' home, which read; "Happy Birthday Kylie, Love Ronan."

A gift, cake and birthday cards have also been delivered to Kylie, according to reporters stationed outside the home.
