Charlie Sheen shaves his head

Charlie Sheen has shaved his head, according to People.

The Two and a Half Men star was recently seen with a buzz cut. Though some critics are claiming the move is an indication that Sheen is going through a challenging time, a close friend of the actor said it is not so.

"For seven years [doing Two and a Half Men] Charlie had to have the same haircut," Mark Burg, an executive producer on the show, said. "Now that he's completed his contract, he decided to get a haircut and he used a number two buzzer. No big deal. He likes it and likes that it's easier to take care of. It looks good!"

The 44-year-old has been the focus of much media scrutiny since news surfaced of a violent Christmas Day altercation between the star and his wife Brooke Mueller.

Sheen has since faced misdemeanour assault charges and checked into a rehabilitation facility.
