The Lethal Weapon actor and 11 others were issued with a citation during a labour union protest at the Maryland headquarters of a food service company.
Glover allegedly stepped past a yellow police line and was asked to step back three times before being arrested.
The members of the group face a $1,000 fine or 90 days in jail.
Glover was protesting Sodexo's allegedly unfair and illegal treatment of its workers.
The actor declined to comment on the matter.
