Speaking to People, Settle revealed that separating from Israeli actress-model Naama Nativ and moving on with his life has been "tough."
"I'm not enjoying it... it's tough," the 40-year-old said.
Settle has a one-year-old daughter with Nativ named Aven.
"Until the divorce is over, it's tough to know how much time I'm going to spend with Aven and how the chips are going to fall. So I hope for the best," he added.
The actor said that he and Nativ would make good "co-parents".
He is currently preparing for a role in the upcoming Broadway run of Chicago.
