Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey is critically ill in hospital after being crushed by his own car.
The 30-year-old, who recently appeared on ITV's I'm A Celebrity, was alone when the incident occurred outside his home in Walthamstow early Tuesday morning.
It follows two alleged suicide attempts by overdose earlier this month.
A police spokesman told BBC News Online: "The circumstances of the collision are being investigated but at this early stage we believe the man may have fallen from the driver's side of [his] Mercedes convertible while reversing from an access road into the street."
