Michael Bublé has revealed that he left the Juno Awards in Canada on Sunday to ensure his fiancée wasn't abandoned.

The 'I Haven't Met You Yet' singer was nearly stranded by Iceland's volcanic ash which has caused traffic chaos.

Bublé's partner, actress Luisana Lopilato, was due to present an Argentinean TV show the next day.

He told Spinner: "I spoke to a pilot just now who told me that the ash cloud would be coming here by 3am and it could be another three days before anyone can get out of here.

"I don't want to be the guy who brings everyone down. It wouldn't be that bad to have to stay here for another three days but for her it would."
