David Van Day sang at 'BOAB' wedding

David Van Day has performed at the wedding of Brides On A Bus winner Maddie Robinson.

The '80s popstar, who hosted the Wedding TV reality series, was one of the guests at Robinson's ceremony after they grew close during filming of the series.

"David was such a character to be with for those two weeks. I really, really liked him," she told DS. "I don't know whether it is because he has been in a similar situation in the jungle, but he really sympathised with us during the challenges.

"He knew exactly what to say at the right time. The challenges were tough, physically exhausting and emotionally exhausting. When you were down, he'd crack a joke and he was such fun. I know people said that he didn't come across well in the jungle, but I gelled with him straight away.

"All the girls had such great banter with him and all his singing and cheesy tunes made the experience brilliant. He even came to the wedding and sang some songs. He's a lovely, lovely guy."

Robinson was revealed as the BOAB winner on last night's show, earning the prize of her dream wedding at Gretna Green. The final episode of the series, which will include her nuptials, airs on April 26 at 10pm on Wedding TV.
