Courtney Love not changing name

Courtney Love is reportedly not changing her name.

In a recent interview with NME, the singer/actress, whose birth name is Courtney Michelle Harrison, said that she now wanted to go by the name of Courtney Michelle.

Love suggested that she was dropping her stage name because she felt oppressed by it.

"The name Courtney Love is a way to oppress me," she said.

However, Love's representative told Gossip Cop that she is not changing her name.

"Not at all. She said it metaphorically," the rep revealed.
