Breck Eisner to direct 'Escape' remake

This will be the Eisner's third feature film, the first of which was 2005's Sahara starring Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz.
The 39-year-old, who is the son of former Disney head Michael Eisner, recently helmed the well-received remake of George Romero's The Crazies.
A release date and cast for Escape From New York has yet to be announced, though a rewrite of the movie's script by Wall Street 2 writer Allan Loeb was recently commissioned by New Line.
