Peter Andre blasts 'girlfriend lies'

Peter Andre has insisted that he is still single following fresh media speculation surrounding his personal life.

The popstar, who was granted a divorce from Katie Price last October, spoke out following reports that Liz McClarnon had accused him of having a secret lover.

Writing in his New column, Andre explained: "In a downmarket magazine last week, Liz McClarnon apparently said that she knows for a fact that I've got a girlfriend!

"Er, I haven't actually seen Liz for years, so I had no idea what she was going on about. I actually got someone I know to call Liz and ask if she had actually said that and she said she didn't.

"I can assure you that I absolutely haven't got a girlfriend at the moment. I think someone has been telling porkies!"

Earlier this month, Andre announced that he was "very much back on the dating scene" but did not have a serious partner.
