Randy Quaid case 'ends in plea deal'

The actor and his spouse Evi were charged with not playing for a hotel stay, but the judge has now dismissed the case against the star, while his partner pleaded no contest, People reports.
Under terms of the deal, worked out in Santa Barbara Superior Court, both escaped additional jail time, but Evi must perform 240 hours of community service within a year.
The couple had already served several hours in jail for missing court dates.
Quaid said that the case had taught him a lesson: "You pay your bills when you leave, and I suppose that's something we can work on in the future.
