The singer has hired a new agent in order to pursue the side career and is currently reading through scripts, according to The Sun.
It is thought that Tulisa is most excited about a forthcoming film version of Shakespeare's Hamlet, along with a hard-hitting TV crime programme.
A source said: "The project she favours is a modern take on Hamlet. She is also considering an anti-knife crime drama with Danny Dyer and Ricky Whittle.
"She very much wants to get her teeth into something really gritty and London-based, as that's what she's about."
Tulisa has previously played the role of Laurissa in Channel 4's Dubplate Drama. Her N-Dubz bandmates Dappy and Fazer also appeared in the show.
