The Lewis star, who is married to Billie Piper, told The Mirror that he wants their 18-month-old child Winston to see the world before he starts school.
Although Piper recently said that she would like to work in Hollywood, Fox, 31, said that making it in America is not his top priority.
He said: "As far as going to America is concerned then maybe that will be a good thing to do at some point, but it's not massively high on my list at the moment - I'd much rather take Winston around the world before he has to go to school than try and make it as a big star somewhere."
The fourth series of Lewis begins on May 2 on ITV1.
