Kylie Minogue may face bills for cutting short her Showgirl tour.
The singer cancelled her live commitments in Australia last month after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result, it now seems that she may suffer a penalty, since her insurance for the tour did not include cover for her being taken ill.
A source told the Daily Express: "It seems remarkable but the fact is, Kylie wasn't insured for this kind of eventuality. She's never had cause to cancel an appearance because of being ill. The company which insures her was expected to fork out a huge sum but it seems that will fall to Kylie herself.
"Aside from the tickets having to be reimbursed, there's money for the hire of the venues, for staff who were taken on and for the promotion. It's likely to be a six figure amount."
