Tom Cruise proposed to girlfriend Katie Holmes early this morning.
Continuing the pair's whirlwind romance, construed by many as a publicity stunt, the Minority Report actor popped the question to Batman Begins' Holmes atop the Eiffel Tower.
BBC News quotes Cruise as saying: "Yes, I proposed to her. It was early this morning at the Eiffel Tower, so I haven't slept at all."
Holmes recently split from Chris Klein (American Pie) after being engaged for five years, whilst Cruise's past flames include Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz.
