Prince Harry 'wants to wed Chelsy'

Prince Harry has reportedly told royal aides that he wants to marry Chelsy Davy before his next deployment to Afghanistan.

The Daily Star Sunday reports that his announcement has stunned palace aides.

Prince Harry, 25, who is about to start an army training programme to master the £46m Apache helicopter gunships, is said to be head-over-heels in love.

A family friend claimed: "Harry is completely committed to Chelsy and wants everyone to know it. He doesn't have time to sit around and wait for his brother to make up his mind.

"Harry has been to Afghanistan before and he knows only too well that where he's going, life really can be too short to worry about protocol."

A palace aide said: "We have to establish if Prince Harry is really serious about this, and if it's possible first."
