Larry Birkhead has revealed that he is auctioning off Anna Nicole Smith's belongings.

The 37-year-old star, who has been raising their 3-year-old daughter Dannielynn alone since Smith's death in 2007, said that he wants to secure his daughter's future by selling her Mercedes and dog bed.

Birkhead told Reuters: "It's like, do I want to hold on to one of Anna's dresses, or do I want to try to help Dannielynn's future. We have money. We have more than enough to survive on. [Auction proceeds] would just supplement that."

Items to be auctioned next month include Smith's Mercedes-Benz roadster, her Marilyn Monroe-themed furniture, various pieces of artwork, a fluffy pink dog bed and some of her old clothes.

Birkhead added: "You'll see Anna's love for the finer things, but you'll also see the down home girl that would paint pictures and carry little, fun purses."
