The pranksters, who were arrested and have now been released on bail, were working on an upcoming Channel 4 practical jokes programme which also targeted Sharon Osbourne recently. Osbourne, as well as tipping a bucket over the head of the man involved, gathered legal paperwork regarding the incident.
Yahoo! Movies reports that the X Factor judge has now passed on the documentation to Tom Cruise, urging the War of the Worlds actor to take legal action.
She said of the event: "I was really mortified that one adult could do that to another. I was totally stunned."
