Former Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison spent Friday night in hospital with a broken collar bone.
This drama followed a trip to hospital last Wednesday after she suffered an allergic reaction to some body paint that she wore on a photo shoot.
A friend of Ellison told The Mirror: "It really wasn't her week. The allergic reaction on Wednesday was pretty shocking and although it subsided quickly as she relies on her looks for work it was still a big scare.
"She was having a great night on Friday with her boyfriend and pals Michelle Heaton and Andy Scott-Lee when she fell over.
"It's a pretty bad fracture and she's had to cancel all her work engagements for the next month."
