Christina Ricci makes Broadway debut

Christina Ricci is to make her Broadway debut as part of the cast of Time Stands Still this fall.

The actress will replace Alicia Silverstone in the role of Mandy Bloom, reports the Los Angeles Times. She joins previous cast members Laura Linney, Brian D'Arcy James and Eric Bogosian.

Time Stands Still centres on a photojournalist and his writer girlfriend who recently covered the war in Iraq.

The Tony-nominated production, which closed in January, will reopen September 23.
