Kay, Owen make Celebrity Dad shortlist

Vernon Kay and Mark Owen have been announced among the names on the Bounty 'Celebrity Dad Of The Year' shortlist.

The Family Fortunes TV presenter and Take That star, who have made tabloid headlines for being unfaithful to their wives, are among a list of 15 fathers competing for the annual prize.

Peter Andre, Jeff Brazier, Jamie Oliver and Owen's bandmate Gary Barlow are also nominated for the gong, which is voted for by the public.

Former PM Gordon Brown and new leader David Cameron make the list, while footballers Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard are also in the running.

Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, Boyzone's Ronan Keating, Charlotte Church's partner Gavin Henson and GMTV host Ben Shephard complete the lineup of nominees.

The winner will be revealed on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17.
