Banderas: 'Stella more mature than me'

Antonio Banderas has said that his 13-year-old daughter Stella is "way more mature" than he is.

In an interview with People, the actor described Stella as "very selective" and insisted that he doesn't worry about her dating habits, even at such a young age.

"Her heart is going to be broken sometimes, and she has to learn from those things too. It's called 'life'. She has to live that herself," he said.

Banderas also expressed pleasure at his children's lack of interest in the Hollywood lifestyle.

"All our kids – Alexander, he's 24 and living in New York, and Dakota, [who's 20], is making movies already - they never got caught by that kind of thing of the celebrity stuff. Actually, they hated it, as Stella does. I think that's healthy… they don't want to play that game."

Banderas was recently announced as the star of the new Pedro Almodovar film Skin.
