Tom Cruise has announced that he wants children with his fiance Katie Holmes.

The couple attended the New York premiere of Cruise's War of the Worlds last night, with extra security in case of any fake microphones which spoiled Tom's Sunday.

When asked whether he plans to have children with the Batman Begins actress, Cruise enthusiastically replied "yes," adding: "We would have to talk to our families about it."

Tom already has two adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
