Roker: 'Lauer and wife have not split'

Matt Lauer's Today show colleague Al Roker has denied that the TV anchor and his wife have split.

Lauer, who has been married to Annette for 12 years, was reported to have left the family home after being accused of having an affair but has dismissed the rumours as "ridiculous".

Weatherman Roker told Us Magazine: "The fact is we all know that everything is fine and we move on from there. Matt is a great dad, he's a wonderful husband. He's everything you're supposed to be."

Lauer's Today show predecessor Bryant Gumbel added that the couple, who are parents to 8-year-old Jack, 6-year-old Romy and 3-year-old Thijs, are "doing great".
