The character's original stage show will transfer to Broadway for a six-week run, reports The New York Times.
“I can hardly believe it. Honestly, I’ve been pinching myself," said Reubens, who created Pee-Wee almost 30 years ago in Los Angeles.
The Pee-Wee Herman Show will begin its run at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on October 26.
Characters from the 1980s TV series Pee-Wee’s Playhouse are expected to be part of the Broadway production.
