Church snubs friends for Gavin Henson

Charlotte Church has pulled out of a holiday with her friends, in favour of a romantic break with boyfriend Gavin Henson.

The Welsh singer had originally planned to spend a week in Ibiza, but vowed to spend less time partying after a late-night confrontation with her ex-lover, Kyle Johnson.

However, as an apology to her friends, Church has offered to pay £2,500 for the break, allowing them to carry on without her.

"Charlotte thought better of going on the holiday," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "She is beginning to realise she is just too famous to enjoy a normal break with them.

"But she doesn't want to disappoint her pals, so she has told them they can stay there without her."

Church's mother, Maria, added, "Charlotte and Gavin are madly in love and she wants to spend her holiday with him.

"They will probably go to Egypt or the Caribbean. Her album is due out in mid-July and she only has a week to spare amid all the promotions, so she can't do both.

"She has decided against going to Ibiza, but wants her mates to go and have a great time. She didn't want to let them down."
