David and Victoria Beckham have spent £20,000 on a bottle of champagne during their holiday to St Tropez.
While enjoying a night out at celebrity hangout Les Caves du Roy, the pair asked for the most expensive bottle available. After the music stopped and the lights dimmed, guests at the club looked on as the Beckhams received their order on a silver tray containing sparklers.
A source told the Sunday Mirror, "It was very amusing as Posh and Becks were going on about how they didn't want a big fuss. But they quickly became the centre of attention when they ordered the champagne.
"It was obvious judging from the big smiles on their faces that Posh and Becks were loving every minute of it as staff were making such a fuss over them."
Friends claim that the romantic break has allowed David and Victoria to rekindle their romance, which has come under strain following tabloid allegations about their marriage in recent months.
