Evans's wife recovering after scare

Chris Evans' wife is reportedly expected to make a full recovery after being rushed to hospital with a mystery illness last week.

Natasha Shishmanian is recuperating at the couple's Ascot home after undergoing treatment for an "unfortunate and unexpected" condition, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Radio 2 DJ took an unscheduled day off from his breakfast show to be at his wife's bedside as she received emergency treatment. He later wrote on his BBC webpage: "Thanks for all the kind wishes with regards to my wife Tash and the unfortunate and ­unexpected predicament which befell her this week.

"She really wasn't very well at all on Wednesday night but, miraculously, after some fast and clever work by those genius people in the hospital – you know, the ones we can never figure out how to thank ­properly – she's now out of danger."

Evans married the pro-golfer and former model in 2007 and the couple have a one-year-old son, Noah.
